You’ve always been there for my family and I. I will forever cherish this picture with my daughter on my last day on the Ghanaian soil. It will remind me of the PRECIOUS GEM you were. We loved you, but your Maker loved you even more and called you back to Him. Rest in perfect peace, till me meet again.
Vas et repose en paix Sena.

  6. Phoebe Abotsi - July 11, 2020 reply

Dear Sena I never thought I would live in a world without you. You taught me the true meaning of friendship by your example. Always showing up in the best times and worst times with that beautiful smile and comforting aura. You gave so much to so many asking nothing in return. I don’t know how say goodbye so I will say save me a seat at that meeting place in heaven where there is no pain just peace.

  7. Karl William Sr - July 10, 2020 reply

Why so soon my brother? You’ve not finished what you started. Too good to a fault! This life has lost a true soul, a true Rotarian, a true Ghanaian. People say good things about people after their passing because it’s the fashion, but with you IT IS THE TRUTH! You brought us (past Rotaractors) together just to leave us too soon. Well, Sena
, we can only celebrate your life. Thank you for everything you’ve been to everyone of us every time, everywhere. For me, you’re just transitioning into another better life. The Grand Creator of our awesome universe will not allow all this goodness to go waste. On Monday morning, you ended our call by saying, “I appreciate you, Kokonte. Have a blessed day.” I’ll end my post by repeating your own words: “I appreciate you, Sena
. May you have blessed days in your new life.” One of our sisters said: “Be A Sena Dey.” WE WILL INDEED BE A SENA DEY! We will miss you, my brother. 😭😭😭

  8. Anonymous - July 10, 2020 reply

I pray that he knew how much he meant to everyone. If you never verbalized what you are posting, then what good does writing it now do? Tell those you love that you love them. Please don’t wait till they are gone to sing their accolades.
Farewell Sena. I will light a candle for you. 😕

  9. Amma - July 9, 2020 reply

So much has been said about Sena – Everyone’s Sena. Always there for everyone. Couldn’t say no to any invitation no matter how inconvenient it would be.
I reflect over what you stood for, Sena. Your purpose on earth , I believe was to show us the true definition of love. Now we understand, Sena! Surely life for me will not be the same. Tell God you lived achieving His purpose for you. You have inspired some of us. Yes, to honor your memory, we will learn to show love from the very depths of our hearts.
Rest well, Big Bro! You are sorely missed. The tears just can’t stop. Oh, Sena!

  10. Mawushie Dzikunoo - July 9, 2020 reply

    ARE WE STILL CRYING?
    He is not gone,
Just no longer here in flesh.
    His spirit lives in us.
See how we talk about him.
    Wow he is not gone.
You can shed tears that he is not gone,
Or you can smile because Sena lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that Sena will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see Sena,
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can remember Sena only that he is gone,
Or you can cherish his memory and let him live on.
You can keep crying and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what Sena did:
Display a broad big infectious smile, give a booming laugh , remember his name, dress sharp, be happy, love everyone and live life.
87 miss you Sena . You left us suddenly, but we salute you.
He is an 87er, we miss him.
    A great gentleman , let’s honor him.
Sena, Mr Smiley, you live on in our hearts and memories.

Sena you didnt try at all. You left abruptly leaving a void in so many lives. Mr. Positvity, everyone’s friend, the perfect embodiment of kindness, selflessness, diplomacy and positive vibes. Sena om3 jagbagba kraaaa wo. This hurts a lot. They say the good die young and knowing you, I know you are resting in the Lord’s bosom and that is my comfort. God knows best. R.I.P Sena💔💔💔💔

  12. Yayra de Souza - July 9, 2020 reply

Hmmmmm . Sena the polyglot, the friend who always showed he cared no matter when. To hear of your demise is so sudden that I cannot really tell which emotions are to prevail. Only one lesson I retain; life is short and ought to be lived well. I sure bet you did; you have impacted many lives including mine with your smile alone. Fare thee well. Till we meet again.

  14. Eddie and Lily - July 8, 2020 reply

Eddie my love! You have been a true and loyal friend since we met at Shangrila over 22 years ago. Our friendship grew stronger over the years despite the distance. You were always available regardless of circumstances and made it a point to work together to keep the flame in our friendship always burning. No one can compare to our special bond we shared. Our last video call keeps playing in my head and I’m simply mortified that there will be no more. You will forever remain in my heart. Thank you for all you have been in my life. Rest in perfect peace

  18. Kojo Abedi - July 8, 2020 reply

Sena, ‘Man of Many Words’, you were like the glue that held friendships together.

You knew everyone, you were loved and liked by all, but most of all your incredible ability to recall even the smallest detail ensured that connections were made even though the people involved had forgotten a prior encounter.

Our dads were good friends, our brothers are tight, and we crossed paths often enough to always be current. The last time was in February at a chance meeting at Jamrock. But commenting on the same FB posts in several different groups made it feel like we were constantly in the same conversations. Always around. A big man with a big heart. I will certainly miss you, and will always remember you fondly.

Rest well my brother in the company of your beloved parents. I’m not sure we really understood how much you missed them. May the Lord accept you into His fold and grant you eternal peace.🙏🏾

  19. Nana Adwubi - July 8, 2020 reply

Sena, may you beautiful soul rest in the bosom of our Lord 🙏

  20. Jacinta Esenam Amegbletor - July 8, 2020 reply

Sena!, the news of your death shook me from my sick bed. I simply couldn’t take it in. Sleep in my eyes vanished into thin air. Sena Dey!, your sudden demise is still incomprehensible and I doubt if it would ever be.
You would stand to correct, object or buy-in to discussions at Rotaract meetings without fear or favour. You loved to have fun and your ever broad smile with your handshakes or hug was always on point. You spoke very good English language and I admired you for that.
Where’re you are, please rest peacefully from your labour. We wish you were still here with us but as hard as it is, you’re gone.
Hede nyuie, Sena ! Dzidzor l3 nyutsi fafa m3, Amen 🙏🏾

    You

Edward, Sena, Ed, whatever it was you called him, he was always there for anybody that wished it.
I first met Ed at the Shangri La Hotel in Accra where he worked around 1996-1997.
He proved immediately to be a true gentleman, very well spoken, always forthcoming and most friendly, always professional, and always with the huge smile!
His effortless positivity rubbed off on all Ed bumped into. When this terrible news reaches us yesterday my 10 year old son was privy to the news and was instantly and visibly shaken, tears in his eyes. They only met 2 or three times.
Ed, you will be sorely missed, your indefatigable enthusiasm, empathy, bonhomie and warm presence will forever remain unique.
    Be well, my Friend. Cheers.

Snr Edward as I call him was a go to person for everyone, an all-rounder and a friend to the arts be it fashion, cuisine, automobile etc. His charisma and good natured person robbed off on anybody he interacted. We have indeed lost a consummate gentleman who was well loved by many.
Rest in peace Snr Edward. We will miss you.
