I started to follow your works when I heard you played the bass guitar with Prof Ayensu and co in a group called “Paracetamol Singers” during the early days of the fellowship in the faculty. I realized you were a gallant man in Spirit and in Character. I really looked up to you. You loved your students dearly and they loved you too. I’m still surprised about you been gone. I know we’ll meet in heaven. I know you’ll be there.

Prof, you proudly hang my painting in your office and encouraged me to be the best I can be. I plan on being a professor like you. How wonderful it was to hear about our shared interest in art as well.
The best project supervisor I’ve had The pleasure of meeting. I may not have contributed much to your project but I was made to feel like a team player. If I have my name in a random article on the web of scholars , I owe it completely to you. Thank you for the many smiles and laughs you gave your students while imparting knowledge. You did both perfectly. May your soul find perfect rest and peace and we’re forever grateful to have been tutored by you. -
Rev. Kwadwo Owusu Sarpong - February 13, 2021
I affectionately called him Chairman Kwasi because he was the son of the Manse. His father, the late Rev. Kuffour was one of the influential and disciplined Senior Ministers and a Chairman of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in the 80s.
Kwasi no doubt was imbued with disciplined life coupled jovial disposition. He had deep respect for the elderly and authority.
Kwasi was loving and he was loved by many people. He has passed on at a time that many, including myself, did not expect.
I only take consolation from the fact that his maker has called him home at his own appointed time.
Kwasi Chairman, go home in peace and rest in the bossom of Abraham.

My dear George, death has been cruel in taking you so soon- too soon. I wanted to come visit with my children to see your home livestock farm. I wanted to meet your family. You wife and children but then I got this news- gone too soon. What is left to do now? If I feel this way, how will your wife and children be feeling. My sister, please have my deepest deepest condolences. George is not a person anyone can loose easily. A mighty Cedar has fallen! The space he leaves behind can never be filled.
George, walk ahead. God blessed us for a few short years. You did your work and where a good and faithful servant of the Most High. We will look forward to meeting again in paradise. May the Mighty one watch over and take care of all the needs of your wife and children. In the meantime, arh George! You left us too soon❤️❤️❤️ -
Josephine, KNUST SHS - February 12, 2021
I’ve always had mixed feelings whenever I hear the name ‘George’ being called anyone.
I married a George who showed me the true meaning of ‘hell’ but then after I met a George who gave me every reason to believe in ‘heaven on earth’.
I never got to meet you, Prof. but the day Mummy Hilda described the kind of person you are, I knew that you were one of the few good ones there is out there.
Sometimes, I find it so hard to believe why death seems to target only the wonderful and model family settings there is whilst the wreaked ones still stay intact…
But we’ll, everything about like is a mystery anyway.
Rest well, Daddy. Thank you for making the world which was around you the best place for the people you left behind. Awuradze Mfa Wo Kra Nsie Yie. -

I met George in 2000 when I started teaching atcKNUST as a part-time Lecturer in Pharmacology, and he was an MPhil Candidate and TA in the Department. We worked closely together till he completed his graduate studies and he was appointed as a Colleague Lecturer. Our relationship became better when I got to know he comes from Agogo with a strong Presbyterian background. George loves his work and his students love him. My last memories of him was when he raised funds to renovate all his labs, the animal house and created a conducive learning environment for the Postgraduate studies in his Department. You are sorely missed Professor and HOD. Rest in Peace
